I haven't ridden mine in a few years, I parked it because it was falling apart and needing a good tear down. The exhaust is in shambles. Cracks everywhere. The header is still good tho, I replaced it at one point. I remember having limited options, and I hated a more expensive header/muffler, can't remember which one it was, had a reverse megaphone. Force? Sounded ok but there was a tuning issue I just couldnt get rid of a serious hesitation when jamming on the throttle. Various tuning, jetting, and carb settings, was just annoying. And Vance and Hines would only last a few years before trashed, but ran great. On an open header now, thinking about leaving it this way with only an an extension and maybe a 45* elbow at the tip. It actually IMO runs well like this. It's the smaller header, and I have the 1250 kit, stage 3 nrhs ported XB heads, carb work, and stock everything else. Any other suggestions? | ||

There is a thread on here the guy used a small thrush or cherry bomb looked goid cheap easily replaced said it worked great. |
