I want to take this time to thank all the bad web members who have helped me with my buell problems of the past couple of years. I Did love riding this beautiful machine, but hated fixing it all the time. I'm sorry to say that I have sold it, hopefully to a good home. I just aquired a Ducati Monster 1000 as a replacement. What a machine that is. There are some things about the CR that is better than the Duc, like handling and styling, but the Duc is a little smoother, and shifts nicer. All and all I am happy with the machine. Thanks again for all the help, and if anyone knows of any good Ducati forums, I would love to hear about it. Keeper Cranked!!!! |

We have a few Duc officianados on sportbikez.net, look for Anson. He has some friends running a 999R based land speed record bike set up for Bonneville and has done some garage builds himself. I'm a fan of il'Monstro, the looks aren't the best, but it's got a decent motor and the seat is just butter... |

In addition to my Buells, I've got a 1198 Duc. The forum I use most for tech info is Ducatiforum.co.uk It's nowhere near as good as this forum or my own 'native' UKBEG.COM My local race engine builder swears by Motul 15/50 Factory Line full synth for eliminating cam follower wear. I use it in my Helicon too. |

Took my 1125R to the track last week, now I am hooked. Decided to make the 1125 a dedicated track machine. Picked up a Duc S4r for the street. Love the sound, it is softer and more comfortable. The 1125 handles notably better and has a lot more power, and I think will be more reliable. I think I can count on the 1125 to deliver safe and reliable track days (and outrun a lot of Duc's), but my Duc is now my daily Italian mistress. Hope she is not too expensive to maintain. At least I have a Buell S1 tuber to ride when the S4r is in the shop! (Message edited by Robertb1958 on October 15, 2013) |
