Hi Frank, Dan and I may take a short ride down to Palmer Lake but nothing extravagant. Now with the days being sooooooo much shorter. |

I need to get Lynn out for a ride. I think she is ok after the accident and she did a short ride yesterday. I do not know what we will do today. I guess I better get off my butt and get going soon. I do not want to tie you and Dan to a timeline. If we see you great. If not you two have a safe ride. Frank |

WE had a good turnout today for the Buell monthly breakfast in Morrison. 14 riders to be exact. A good group of them headed down to Palmer lake after breakfast. Maybe you might see them Julie. I had other plans this afternoon so had to come home after-wards. |

We rode around and went to lunch. The wind starting picking up pretty good and since I wanted to get more work done on the project bike we headed home. Lynn is riding just as well as before the accident. Frank |

We ended up doing some chores. Being that we were gone most of the day yesterday, had to get some stuff done. It's windy here too |

Hey Lynn, I'm not sure when the bike will be finished. I hope to get a call this week to tell me what they found and when the parts and labor will be complete. |

I smell the beast cooking already! Yeah, Frank, when Eloy told me the front tire was in dangerously bad condition I figured someone must have been doing stoppies on it! |

Heheheheh, I doubt Jeff was doing any stoppies. He's not much younger than me and he's our only Master Tech AFAIK. I think he's a little intimidated by the 1125, we were talking about "normal" mods to the bikes and why, a couple of days ago. Will do Frank, Paypal or?? Still haven't decided if I'm riding in today, pretty sloppy outside now. It's FRIDAY!!!! Z |

Got out on the Yamaha WR today for a quick 73 miles in the foot hills. Started going out 285 from Morrison then over Parmalee gulch to Kettridge then up Kerr gulch to Bergan park then over to Floyd hill and down and over to Clear Creek canyon then up and over Douglas mt. road to Golden gate canyon and back down and home. Very nice but their was a bunch of sand in certain areas and actually snow and some ice on the roads in the shade. Just be aware of this when riding this time of year. The Dual sport is a lot better than the Buell riding in these conditions. |

It wasn't very cold this morning but they were nice. It was 10 degrees colder this evening and I'm hooked. They are staying on until June, I'm spoiled.

In 1817, New York became the first of several states to officially adopt an annual Thanksgiving holiday; each celebrated it on a different day, however, and the American South remained largely unfamiliar with the tradition. In 1827, the noted magazine editor and prolific writer Sarah Josepha Hale—author, among countless other things, of the nursery rhyme “Mary Had a Little Lamb”—launched a campaign to establish Thanksgiving as a national holiday. For 36 years, she published numerous editorials and sent scores of letters to governors, senators, presidents and other politicians. Abraham Lincoln finally heeded her request in 1863, at the height of the Civil War, in a proclamation entreating all Americans to ask God to “commend to his tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife” and to “heal the wounds of the nation.” He scheduled Thanksgiving for the final Thursday in November, and it was celebrated on that day every year until 1939, when Franklin D. Roosevelt moved the holiday up a week in an attempt to spur retail sales during the Great Depression. Roosevelt’s plan, known derisively as Franksgiving, was met with passionate opposition, and in 1941 the president reluctantly signed a bill making Thanksgiving the fourth Thursday in November. Happy Franksgiving and a Merry Festivus. |
