It's an `03 (bought brand new 0 miles), but I had the dealer swap `01 tank cover and wind deflector on to it from a clean trade they had there because I thought the powder blue graphics were fugly.   | |||

Actually, black is faster because rather than reflect any color of light, it absorbs all colors. Where a yellow Blast! would have higher light resistance (similar to wind resistance, but to a smaller degree), the black Blast! would have less light resistance, as it is absorbed instead of reflected. I know there's another factor, but I can't remember it right now. | |||

The heat factor. Black absorbs heat. there fore if you are moving towards any source of heat ie.. the sun, pavement etc it will add to the top end. Yellow reflects there fore the top end will be slightly deminished. Moving away from the heat source will reverse the effect on the black to a lesser amount due to the exaust expelled to the rear. More testing is needed. | |||

Heh, thanks Ezblast, but it's got so few miles on it, it hasn't had a chance to get dirty, really I will admit I did drop it pretty hard once already  so there is a scratch on the right side of the tank cover and the turn signal had to be replaced. But that was a lesson learned Chanda | |||

Another trackday 6-28-04, had a great time with the new foot peg setup, no grinding pegs through the turns. Able to out run some folks on the 1 liter bikes, they were very slow in the turns. Had the hardest time keeping up with a person on a SV650, he is due to get his race licenese in a few days.    Have a great day | |||
