So the headlight on my XB9SX occasionally, and by that I mean every once in a blue moon, hesitates in turning on. Tonight it took about 4 minutes to come on and then when I turned on my high beam I lost my headlights all together (and only my headlights all other lights work fine). I've checked the fuse block (light fuse and removed the block to ensure the wires hadn't vibrated loose). Checked the white plug behind the wind screen and the wires seem fine there. So I'm not sure where to look next. My feeling is a broken wire somewhere in the harness between the fuse block and the white plug. Unfortunatly I'm away at school and don't have my shop manual with me so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what which wires should be hot at the white plug under the windscreen (orange, yellow, white, black) and possibly what voltage I should be seeing there. And any other suggestions would be great. Thanks. |

I can't really help with an S model, but you should also clean the ground point that the lights use. It should be on the frame near the headstock and on the passenger side. Probably a tors the same size as the body work screws. |
