I have a 700$ NIB Buell Quest Garmin GPS all hardware, car mount wall mount and CD info. opened to check parts, never installed, all parts are there. including BUELL sticker.
Manufacture sticker says 3/17/08 on box, I bought it for the bike but used my own GPS on the bike.

looking for offers on it or PM me.
if you are anywhere near Annapolis, MD can just pick it up from me.

Do you have the factory handlebar mount? That might be the most valuable part of the whole stack at this point.

I've got one (thanks Jim!), but they can be hard to find.

It looks like the Buell Quest GPS on any Ulysses, it was new in box.
- Garmin GPS (Buell Quest)
- Brake cylinder mount/hardware/
- hardwire kit plugs in under the fly-screen to the front outlet connector (the outlet is still useable)
- buell sticker for brake mount
- wall charger
- car charger
- car suction mount
- GPS case
-Lifetime Update for maps

If you don't have the latest CD in hand with necessary activation codes, it would make the unit more valuable if you chase them down with Garmin before you sell. Garmin has to give you the codes, and it is a headache to transfer once the unit has been registered.

The "latest update" will not be that recent for the Quest 1 (which is what you have). Let us know what version of the CD you have already, it may be "good enough".

IMHO, some of the older data is actually better. It had a lot less info about businesses and such, but still very good road data. So you could load more road data at a time on the Quest.

I think this is a good trade off... the Quest makes a pretty lousy "find this restaraunt" device. It stunk from the beginning.

What the Quest *does* do is let you plot and control turn by turn directions on your laptop, and load them to the quest, then follow them on the bike in real time. It takes a little learning on the desktop "setup" side, and it takes a couple subtle setup tweaks on the Quest side for it to really work smoothly, but none of it is rocket science, and you would not believe the kind of incredible rides you can put together when you are not afraid to stitch together 50 different 5 mile goat trails with lots of turns and intersections with no fear of being lost.

That, and (with a $15 external antenna) the Quest is very durable and completely weatherproof.

To get a modern replacement that can do the same thing, I belive you are still looking at $350 and up units. And no, your smart phone app can't do it anyway (and your smartphone will become a $300 paperweight after spending a month or two mounted to your handlebars).

Used now only because I leave for Indianapolis for Moto GP this week and will not be back until September 1st.
Octopusenvy - 200$ is a little too low. You can Google image it if you need pictures, the list above details the package. it will still be in like new condition and I am not using the sticker either.

This is not meant as an equivalent to current GPS or is it intended to do what current GPS units can do. this is only to complete your Ulysses with the rare factory options, which I know for a fact these are not made anymore.

Also ALL XB models have the hook up behind the front fly-screen that will allow this to be used on any bike with a handle bar and brake master cylinder mount. AKA Lightning models or handlebar converted.
