So the beast has a persistent gremlin that I haven't been able to corner (Freaky deaky power loss thread). I want to try to log data during test runs to see what is going on, but don't have ECMSpy. The particulars: 2008 1125R with EBR (non programmable) ECU. This appears to be supported by ECMSpy. 1) What is general experience of forum users with ECMSpy? good/bad 2) Can I log a test run in real time (5 minutes, tops) and review log afterward for the entire test run? 3) I need to run the bike up past 6000 rpm (under load) and see what happens at a particular point under acceleration. My thought was to use a laptop in a backpack as the data logger. Can I do this with ECMSpy? 4) Are there other software(s) out there that would be better? Thanks |

I know the feeling. It's not the same problem I finally figured out in my recent thread of EBR ECM Runs Lean is it? I didn't know fuel pressue had to hold at key on engine off. Good luck! |

Far as I know ECMSpy doesn't support DDFI3. Check here link and fire an e-mail to them for data logging. Got some major help there for my XB after I did some engine work. |

Old school was a share/free-ware for FI Buells up thru 2007, DDFI and DDFI-2 I believe. 08 and later went to DDFI-3 and ECMSpy will read but can't write properly. A new version for DDFI-3 that is shareware requiring donation to a good cause is available, do a web search for that. Their website has tutorials. Zack |
