Can anyone comment on the comfort level of a Corbin seat for an S1 versus the stocker or Euro model? I have some medical stuff going on that makes riding my S1 for more than 15 minutes next to impossible. I have a Euro seat on it now and was thinking about getting it reupholstered, but it seems to me it's more how fricken narrow the seat is versus the amount of padding that causes it to be uncomfortable. I even had an S1 twin tail on it and that was equally uncomfortable. I was thinking about retrofitting a Ulysses or M2 seat on it? I can ride my S2 no problem, so I know it's not entirely me. I just want to get other ideas on how to make my S1 comfortable to ride or I gotta sell it. (Message edited by trouble_enabler on June 30, 2013) (Message edited by trouble_enabler on June 30, 2013) |

I bought my S1 as a two up bike so it had the long seat, the only thing I could find was a brand new Corbin single seat.....hard as a rock! if you are looking for a good seat, try Baldwin saddles, he makes great seats using your seat pan unless he has one sitting around....expensive, but he makes seats one at a time, custom, with measurements of you sitting on your bike with photos.... I have one on my s3T. |

I have a euro seat and a corbin. The corbin may as well be a 2x6. The euro could use more padding at the edges because I can feel the bodywork underneath, but I MUCH prefer the euro seat. |

I have been happy with my Pro-Series seat, but they are pretty hard to find now. |

I have the solo Corbin on my S1.... A 2x4 wrapped in leather is what I compare it to...who rides aS1 for comfort anyway? |

I have seen S1's with 99+ M2 tails. Not solo, but quite a bit wider. |

Ok here is my 2 cents! I have sevre medical issues at the base of my spine which causes severe pain and I have had a corbin for a few yrs but then got a stock solo seat and rode it around and thought it was great till I went for a hour or so and it killed. Put the Corbin back on and it is better. Yes they are hard!!! I will get that fixed this winter but the ergonomics and weight distribution are better. I am going to get custom padding installed so it displaces the weight away from the tail bone. (Also need to loose 20-30 pounds and that will help me also) |

I REALLY recommend contacting Baldwin saddles, he does great work! and he makes them one at a time, it takes a while but IMHO a great seat! and he makes each one to customer spec, I even had an issue that I wanted it back 1/2 inch and down 1/4 after he made it and shipped it to me...no problem...he fixed it, recovered it and sent it back to me....he has my respect and gratitude as a businessman....and a seat maker! |

I've had the stock S1 twin seat which was just horrible, an S1 Pro Series solo seat (better but not wonderful) and use a Corbin twin seat. The Corbin is wide enough BUT the dish is too far back and there's that evil little point. The trick is to specify a "nut job" when you order a seat to keep it from having that evil little point popping up and getting you in the family jewels. |

I have both for my S1W and I prefer the Corbin. The Stock S1W seat gets uncomfortable too fast. I have put several 200 plus mile days on the S1W with the Corbin seat including a 360 mile ride to Myrtle Beach. Around 100-125 mile mark I am looking for a little break and usually fuel up at that time. |
