So I have an 08 XB12R with K&N filter and Special Ops pipe. I installed an EBR ecm in hopes to eliminate the backfiring caused from the pipe. Backfiring is gone and from 5-7K RPM it seems stronger.....BUT just cruising around in the 2-3K rpm range it struggles trying to accelerate. It was just fine before the ECM upgrade in that RPM range. Now if I want to accelerate easily at those lower RPM's I find myself downshifting....Anyone have any advice? Anyone? Bueller? Thanks in advance boys. |

TPS reset. Hope you own an owners and field service manual. Both are valuable to have at your fingertips. |

Thanks Two. Ill try resetting it again. I already tried twice though...But the thing is, the instructions I got from EBR says to turn the throttle wide open and then "snap" it back shut and repeat. Now after reading your post I looked up the instructions online from a different source and it says to "gently" twist throttle back shut etc....Do you think thats the difference? Keep in mind that my bike is an 08 and the procedure is different than 04-07 I guess....Ill try it and report back! Thanks again. |
