Joe, Are you trying to keep that at M2L height when you do the USD conversion? I wasn't trying to keep mine at that height but with those handlebars I don't think you'll have enough room to slide the USD forks up in the tiples (I have mine currently touching the handlebars).. |

Good lord NO. The USD conversion is so I can make it TALLER. I'm 6'4" with a 34" inseam and a size 13 boot. I don't need the lower seat height, and CERTAINLY don't need my pegs that close to the ground. I put a toe down turning in a freakin' PARKING LOT. Must...make...bike....taller.... |

Ok, just wondered. Well, all you'll need to do is change out the forks and rear shock and you'll be good. The bike will lean a little bit on the stand with it having the M2L kick stand (1" shorter) but it's nothing extreme like the S2 lean. My stock M2 height M2L on left, on right is a stock M2. A noticeable bit more of lean but I think it's just right. |

Yeah, I'm getting forks and trees (different diameter forks), shock and bracket, axle and spacers. Should have everything I need (and some I don't, but that's OK too). The shorter stand doesn't bug me; my S1W doesn't lean ENOUGH in my book, I keep waiting for it to go over to the right when I park it. |

FWIW, if you have the 14.5" shock and are putting another 14.5" shock on, the M2L and M2 both use the same shock brackets so you wouldn't need to change it. Only reason is I know this is because the part numbers are the same between models (less work for you to have to do). |

Yep, I've managed to chase that little tidbit down since my original WTB posts. Bracket = same; shock = difference. |

Heh. Doing a little piddly stuff on the bike tonight, got done, still had energy after a rejet (48/190, 2.5 turns out for the race exhaust and race intake) and a rear turn signal reinstall...put some reflective blue pinstripe tape around the lower edge of the tail section bodywork. On the Volcano Gray, it looks good. I need to get the "real" camera out there, but on the cell phone camera it looks like something out of Tron. LOVE IT |

Well, here's the new suspension on the bike. Need pinch bolts for the axle, and new brackets for the headlight since the M2 brackets won't fit the forks. And a front fender. Normal height is nice, though (sorry for the crappy cellphone pic...)

Loooks good Joe. Sure do like those inverted forks on the M2, makes it look like the bike it is, instead of a bargain basement, basic beginner version bike. |

Giorgio, guessing you fit the S1 tail and euro seat without any major mods to the subframe? Just asking because the tail seems a bit high for the standard S1 conversions I've seen. I like the color scheme, nicely done! |

I didn't get them to keep on a shelf! (that's what the back-ups are for). Let's just say something is going to be a little more symmetrical. |

Hmmm... I like asymmetry. I have only one guess. (Brakes) But what ever it is, I'm sure it will look good, and will enjoy the pics when it's done. It's all very tastefully put together so far. The S2 fender looks better than I thought it would and the cut of the seat looks like they got it perfect. How do you like the rave rotors? I've thought about putting one on the back of my bike... Nice pics, looks like a beautiful day for a ride... ...all this conversation, I'm gonna have to post a pic too. |

That paint is lookin freakin awesome, I dig the whole theme you've got there! The Air Force star blend with the E B R wings is clever. Fun stuff there. Head light bezel is a nice touch too. Nicely done Edward |
