I had a complete supertrapp (new style) exhaust for my x1 sitting around for a few years now and finally got around to putting it on tonight. I haven't even taken it out of the garage yet (high temp gasket sealant is still drying), but I can tell it's night and day in just the two minutes I ran it. That pesky bog down/dead spot around 2000 rpm seems to be gone, the exhaust note is better/deeper/throatier, and well..it looks badass.

Thanks to those who encouraged me to put it on!!

The super-trap is a beast of a can! I have a D&D system that is also a tank of can! but very well made.

Word of caution. The bolt that holds the inner perforated tube in place fell out of mine and the piece slid back, blocking the tailpipe. Engine would not run over 4K

Interesting. If I notice any rev limiting, that's the first thing I will check. I took it out for about 20 minutes today. It definitely idles smoother and pulls harder over the V&H that was on there.

Yeah, single screw that goes into the bottom of the pipe. Use some sort of loch washer or threadlocker.

Sure sign you've lost it is you start wondering what happened to your power about the same time you start hearing the sound of an old VW Beetle right on your tail.
