I'm looking for a late model Buell in excellent condition with low miles. Would prefer an 1125R or XB12 (any sub-model); but, I am certainly willing to consider an XB9. I really want to confine the search to a radius of about 75 miles from zip 08088. Earlier this year when I still hadn't settled on Buell, I was offered a 2006 XB9S with 10,000 miles, aftermarket windshield, Corbin seat, several pieces of soft luggage and tuning software for $4000. I also found a 2009 XB9S completely stock with only 1,600 miles on the clock for $4500. I'm looking for something comparable. Currently I'm aware of two XB12 bikes in my very general area, each with about 6,000 miles. Both are 2007 models being offered for $5000. One (XBS) needs rubber, a battery, and footpegs. The other is an XBR. It's located about three to four hours drive from me. That is a bit of a trip for something that may or may not pan out. If either of these were in excellent condition, I would offer $4500. I would pay $5500 for a 2009/2010 1125R with the EBR modified rotor fix, significantly less for one without. I would pay $5500 for a 2008. Additional mods that significantly improve reliability might add somewhat to the above figures. However most alterations just aren't worth heavy dollars to me. Significant miles will reduce the figures above. I apologize for being so blunt. If nothing else, you should have a pretty good idea where I stand. I know that many sellers will simply discard me out of hand. That's good for both parties. Saves time and effort. Feel free to contact me at skip@ajarvis.net if you feel you have something that would work. Thanks for reading. Al Jarvis |

Good luck finding your Buell. 3-4 hour drive for a Buell doesn't seem that far to me. I just got back from a 9 hr trip for a blast for my wife. It certainly makes the total cost to purchase higher but it just means we gotta keep it forever. Fine by me! |
