I have a 97 S1 Lightning and im looking for a spike or bullet style air cleaner and elbow assembly. in searching for them the prices im finding are all over the place depending on the application. what all models/years will fit my bike? i apologize in advance if this is a stupid question but i just bought the bike and its my first Buell (of which i am TOTALLY in love with!). i see them for $65 but when i look up my bike or a 97 xl1200 they are around 450. dont have a ton of money and just looking for a way to do this and save money, if thats possible. |

Personally i would stay away from that style. But there has been several threads about making one do a search. |

Why are you looking to change? Just aesthetics, don't like the breadbox? You can get a carbon fiber Buell race setup - they're all over the badweb classifieds and on eBay, and personally I think they look MUCH better on a Buell than a chrome elbow-snorkel setup.

I have not heard good things thats all but mostly opinion on looks for me. You can do what you like with your bije though. Do a search on this forum it should bring up the pros and cons for you |
