Mucking with my instruments is the very last thing I'd want to do when I'm riding fast. |

youd have to a complete idiot to set your bike to lap timer mode while youre out riding it. i thought it would be obvious to most people that the 'mucking' about gets done before you get on the bike. once its set, you only hit one button to mark a lap. hardly 'mucking' about unless hitting one button is too much for your brain to handle. |

For trackday/racing, I personally had a hard time remembering to hit the high beam switch at the right time - in my case, it was too much for my feeble brain to handle. Left side controls were later removed (except for clutch thingy) so not an issue any longer.

So once the lap timer is running, you hit the high-beam button to trigger it? Interesting. |
