I needed keys last summer and took the key code in to the local HD shop, gave them the number on the key and they cut another one. I had another one cut at a local bike rally, one of the booths was a key cutter for barrel keys.

Yes. Take to a locksmith/key shop.

Depends on the keymaker, and if they have the barrel key blanks. There is a hole in our keys that a spring loaded ball pops into when you turn it to keep it there so it doesn't fly out while your riding. I had to drill it on mine based on my original because the blank my keymaker had did not have the hole.

You should be able to go to a dealer and say "I have key code XXXX" (pull the plastic cover of your key, and its stamped in the metal underneath), and they can order you a new set/pair.

The blank is the same as sportster of that same vintage. The key will most likely say harley under the plastic cover.
I think you can get a pair of new keys from H-D if you give them a VIN.

Don,t dick around with ANY dealer! If you have a good key, take it to a locksmith. They'll make you a copy. NOT A HARDWARE STORE.
End of story.
