I noticed today the glass of my headlamp is cracked and cracking. The high and low beam still works. I was wondering why the parts catalog has the headlamp ASM as two parts numbers. What does BEZEL mean? Its not illustrated I just need the outer glass of the head light, the rest is working fine. Thanks |

The bezel is the steel rim around the front of the headlight. |

The head light is a German Bosch part, same as on some BMW's. If you get a part number off yours you may find a used replacement at a bike salvage. When mine was broke,I stole a glass pot lid from the kitchen and duck taped it on so I could ride till I got a head light off e-Bay. It looked crappy but I couldn't see it from where I sat and I could get in the wind. |

I happened to buy a new one from HD dealer that didn't know the right part number. All I needed was the bulb. But it was right when I bought it and didn't know any better re: HD knowledge of Buells. I paid around $100 for it. Still in bubble wrap. Let me know if your interested and what you will offer. No need to get rid of it, figured I would crack mine at some point. This is the whole headlight assembly that goes into the bucket. Thx, Cory (Message edited by tweekin2 on September 03, 2009) |
