So apparently removing the frame is easier than rotating the engine, correct? I've been searching for a step-by-step how-to (preferably with pics) but have come up with nothing. Does anyone know where one might exist (don't say "in the manual")? I need to do a rocker box gasket switch out. |

Rotating the engine is much easier than removing the frame. The factory service manual gives a step by step how to. |

This is true. A lot easier than I thought it would be. Mine is rotated down right now for the same reason. But since its down, it's time for a couple upgrades. |

For rocker box gasket replacement just rotate the engine.

Here is what they look like seperated, granted this is an 2007 XB12X frame and an 2008 engine going in its place.
Here is a picture of the removed engine and swingarm:
***To remove the whole unit, it becomes complicated when having to disconnect the wiring harness from the engine and routing of the wires on the lower right side. |
