Color: Black and blue Model Year: 2008 Make: Buell Model: 1125R Condition (on a scale of one to ten) 9/10 Mileage: 10,400 Location (City, State/Province, Country (if not USA or Canada)): Sussex, WI Price: $4,750 I decided I rather put more money towards my sports cars so the 1125R is for sale. Very nice condition machine. More in depth ad below designed more so for the Buell ignorant on CraigsList so please excuse the sales pitch: Album: More images: http://s1074.photobucket.com/user/OldSkoolFool83/l ibrary/Buell%201125R For sale is this 2008 Buell 1125R superbike in great ready to ride condition. It has been adult ridden. I am the second owner. Clean title in my name. Owner’s manual and extra keys included. This machine is in excellent cosmetic and excellent mechanical condition. It has never been down and never on the track. It currently has 10,400 miles on it but shows a lack of wear more like a bike with say 3,000 miles would. It was just fully detailed in August receiving a buff, polish, wax, and shining. Noteworthy cosmetic wear includes typical scratches on the swing arm and rear sets due to boots and typical minor nicks here and there from normal riding. Body plastics are great, very glossy, and not cracked. Powder coating on the engine still looks great and is not nicked up. Scratches are absent from the frame and the blue looks great. The brightwork looks good and is lacking corrosion. Garage kept with the cover on it. Very well taken care of and very presentable cosmetically, especially for the price. Mechanically the superbike is in excellent condition as well and has been well maintained. Within the past 800 miles it has received new properly sized Michelin tires front and rear, new Harley Davidson brand sealed battery, and within the past 200 miles new ATE Super Blue brake and clutch fluid, and Mobil 1 oil and filter change. Two additions to the bike include a battery tender plug and a Hard Rock Motorsports HR1 exhaust (original exhaust included). The Hard Rock exhaust system can be adjusted for backpressure/noise and sounds excellent, sounds pretty mean. The bike starts right away on the first try and runs flawlessly. It goes through the RPM range very fluidly. It has great torque (82 ft lbs) and lowend/midrange grunt of the other Buell twins but keeps pulling very hard all the way to 10,000 RPM with a peak of 147 hp. The powerband is very usable and fun for the street, especially compared to 4 cyl bikes. Transmission shifts with no issues. Brakes are good but there is some slight vibration from the front rotor when grabbed hard but not warranting replacement. Suspension feels great and communicative. Excellent condition and ready to ride. For those not familiar with other features of the 1125R some of them include fuel in frame, larger fairing, water cooled, no-maintenance-needed belt drive, six speed transmission, six piston large diameter front rotor, slipper clutch, digital display (w/ MPG, clock, temperature, etc.), fully adjustable front and rear suspension, and more. There are some nice video clips out there with more info about these bikes (ex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29kwDjwirVc) and excellent support and info on Buell forums such as BadWeatherBikers.com. These machines originally cost $12,500 with its main competition being the Aprilia RSV and Ducati 1098. There are a few great articles out there testing the 1125R against those competitors often with the 1125R often being applauded for its fun factor, which is what the main objective of a street bike should be. These 1125R’s currently are a great value! I am 5’10” 165lbs and fit on the bike excellently. The most comfortable compared to other sport bikes I have ridden but of course the riding position is still aggressive. If seriously interested, please contact me 8am-8pm (no texts) 262-391-1069 or email: shanegutbrod at gmail.com. Located in Sussex, WI 53089 in south eastern Wisconsin. No test rides unless full cash in hand. I prefer to sell outright as I am selling to put the funds towards my more time consuming sports car hobby but might consider a trade/partial trade +/- cash. I would be interested in classic sports cars (Porsche 911, Lotus, Triumph, Austin Healey, Datsun, etc.) or classic British bikes (Triumph, Norton, BSA) or slightly possible a super clean late 90’s Ducati superbike (996, 998). |
