So this is a restart of a thread I initialized last year http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/678301.html?1336936044 I bought this piece last year and wanted to put it on my M2 but the center hub was too small. Then life happened..... Fast forward to now and I am starting thisproject up again. I got a set of stock rims I have stripped and am now polishing out. I dropped the pulley off today to get machined. I had no idea where to go and so I picked out a place close to my work I found on google.com. I walk in and find out the owner of this small shop races a couple of R6s in CCS along with his son. We even have been on the same race track, Blackhawk Farms in IL. HOW COOL! Anyway, we talk bikes, I show him what I need and he says, "no problem, my night guy can run it for you". I love the way bike guys take care of each other. I will take more pics once I get the part back.

FYI - So the reason I am doing this switch from a stock 61 to a 65 tooth sprocket is that I rarely travel faster then 80 mph and I never see 5th gear. However, I feel the stock setup stinks for driving around 25 mph zones which I have a number of on my commute to work. I had a 26 tooth front sprocket but I wore it out after 15,000 miles (it was aluminium). It was nice, but I am thinking thsi gearing will be even better. Also, this part looks WAY better then any stock part and I was able to pick it up for only $52! |

What size is your front pulley 27 or 29. Also what belt are you running? |

It is a 27 in front. I am hoping I can still use the stock 128 tooth belt. I had a 26 up front for awhile and there was enough adjustment to run it. I am hoping there is enough going the opposite way since I will be going bigger now. |
