Just read an article about Danny riding for Jordan Suzuki next season. Thoughts? |

EAST TROY, WI (December 17, 2012) – Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) announced its renewed partnership with the Army National Guard for the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship season. This season marks the team’s fifth year of collaboration with the nation’s oldest branch of the military, and their common goal is to continue to provide a platform for recruiting and to train National Guard soldiers to ride street motorcycles safely. The race-winning MJM team is also celebrating the addition of a new rider to its lineup, Danny Eslick, who will ride the #23 Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000. A former Daytona Sportbike Champion, Eslick finished eighth overall in last year’s AMA Pro Superbike series and brought home three podium finishes. Eslick’s best result of the season was a solid second-place at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida. |

Aspiring and talented rider leaves boutique factory ride for mainstream race team. Who could have possibly imagined that move?!?!? Seriously, Eslick was a riot to watch on the EBR and I hate to see him go, but May is hardly a dog. The guy has put a bike that's clearly under powered and done better than anyone could have expected with it. He's a talented rider, and a great development rider, that in my opinion brings more to the bike that's meaningful to shit-for-talent guys like me than Eslick ever could. Eslick is an alien. Eslick leaving is disheartening to say the least... but the real pressing question is WHO IS RIDING FOR EBR....???? MAY and ................??? |

The only hint we have so far is that Cory West rode the second EBR bike a couple of weekends ago at the CCS races at Homestead. He seems like a good possibility. |

I think eslick is gonna take it to the Yamahas, just hope that the EBRs are close behind. Did I hear correctly that they are testing and Tuning an electronics aid package on the EBRs for this season? |

Did I hear correctly that they are testing and Tuning an electronics aid package on the EBRs for this season? On December 2, EBR posted on their Facebook page in response to a question on electronics: "No electronics yet. Planning to do for 2013. New tires have less traction so will definitely need it." |

From the sounds of it, a second rider is awaiting sponsorship. I read that on EBR's facebook page somewhere. |

What happen with Hero are they still sponsoring EBR race team? |

What happen with Hero are they still sponsoring EBR race team? Good question. I can't remember if anything was said about it being a multi-year deal when they came on board. Edit- I just googled some articles on the sponsorship deal with Hero. It was announced in February 2012, and there is no mention of how long the deal was for in any of the articles I saw. OTOH, it mentions the sponsorship was part of a "strategic alliance" between EBR and Hero which would result in EBR providing design assistance to Hero on new motorcycle models. Since no trulyi new Hero bikes have come out yet, I'd think this alliance is on-going for at least a year or two longer, and hopefully this means the sponsorship deal will continue as well. Danny was crazy good on the 1190...I saw him in person in New Orleans. The 1190 needs more top end speed and electronic suite to compete for #1. It was amazing to watch him get a podium on the 1190!! Hate to see him go!! Will |

West and Yates both seen on a EBR. Yates for testing on a painted bike with his #20. West testing and racing CCS on a unpainted bike with taped #s Thats all the clues I could find

Bit off topic, especially if Hero's 2013 AMA funding is in question, but any additional info about EBR entering World Superbike ? ? ? Probably still year's out, but interested in that undertaking, if it comes to pass. . . |

Young could really up Mays game - and both have similar positive attitudes - 2 & 5 could easily turn into 1 & 2. EZ |

I don't think it will be West or Young. The article clearly states Yates is in talks with EBR to race 2013. and he already has a bike painted with his #. (Message edited by boohoo on December 22, 2012) |

WSBK would be awesome, going to need to have an electronics package sorted to compete at that level. Would love to see more AMA riders and some U.S teams competing in WSBK. |

While this certainly doesn't rank with the sting of Jim Thome or Lebron James checking out in my hood, I am personally sad to see Danny leaving. He is a very talented rider and one of the most fun to watch. I was fortunate enough to witness him execute a bump pass through the esses at Mid Ohio to win that race on his way to the Daytona Sport Bike Championship in 2010. I have been a fan ever since. |

Sounds like Young has some good points - it's going to be a global change for any rider coming from an I4 and getting on the Buell twin. Some will love it and meld with it...some will not be able to get used to it. |

Yepp sounds like he didn't feel confident on it and performed poorly and talked himself out of a deal. Or just didn't impress erik at all? |
