Interesting discussion of the rules for WSBK and how the challenges EBR faces in meeting them:

so if EBR Hero plan on having 2 bike team.
I would say Danny would be the guy who should try to earn this ride. moving to SBK if def a step up form SBK.
Danny knows the EBR bikes and had the best results. He is an agressive rider like Marquez and Stoner and he could be a spash.

Danny has had a less then stellar year on the GSXR and that is a bike he's very familiar with. EBR needs to get a second rider that can not only help develop a motorcycle but also knows the tracks very well. There are some good ones for the picking.

Joe Roberts could be a score.

No Spaniards riding BMWS this year so they can't get a Spanish rider from that team....and Pedrosa rides in MotoGP anyway.

Chaz Davies is free of contract from BMW (although he is strongly linked to the factory Ducati ride in place of Checa I think), and Eugene Laverty is also free since Aprilia decided to replace him with Melandri for some bizarre reason.

Hopper? I know he wants to race in 2014. Discuss...

I understood that he would be returning to BSB with Tyco Suzuki now that Josh Brookes is switching to Yamaha and PJ Jacobsen looks set to go to WSS.

I would have thought that he'd be too risky for a consistent effort at WSB. I've struggled to think of a rider that would be useful enough and prepared to try out a new team.
James Ellison might provide some experience and a benchmark (though not a particularly quick one).
How about Gino Rea? No superbike experience but knows most of the tracks through WSS/Moto2 and is looking for a ride.
Jeremy Guarnoni was impressive in Superstock this year.
I don't know what Suzuki has planned for 2014 in WSB but either Cluzel or Camier would be fantastic....... there's nothing like a bit of blind optimism!

I don't suppose Jorge Lorenzo fancies a new challenge!

EBR's sales director, Gary Pietruszewski, is the former VP of Sales & Dealer Development at Piaggio Group Americas. I wonder if he might provide a connection to Eugene Laverty?

Is Jeremy McWilliams too old for WSB? He does have a Buell connection.

In reality yes, but I don't think that would stop him if he had the offer of a ride!

Tommy was riding in Superstock this year and did 'OK'. didn't win anything but impressed a few teams I think.

I think he was riding a kawasaki ZX10R for team WD40 if I remember correctly.

Not sure what he plans for next year.

PJ Jacobsen definitely impressed everyone in BSB this year and had a number of teams chasing his signature for 2014, but he looks to be off to WSS riding a Honda next year, so it won't be him at EBR : )
