Ok that explains a lot. The RX will be available in time for the 2014 riding season, I was told, with the SX and AX coming later.
The 2014 ridding season doesn't start till 2014 like March or so.
Now this may be a misinterpretation by someone in the media, that has never happened before, but it would explain why we havn't seen any bikes cause there are none to see yet.
Guess I just keep ridding the M2 for a few more years.
Well, I was all over the LB IMS Saturday and I didn't see an EBR 1190RS on display but I did see the KTM 1190 up close and the closest to an EBR 1190 was on the wall behind the KTM where it showed Fillmore trailing a Hero EBR 1190 (Danny?) at one of the AMA SBK races at 1:10 in this Slideshow:
.
Of special interest was when they fired up the original Record Setting Burt Munro World's Fastest Indian:
2014 March???? Like the Doctor said (Buellers requiring the cure), "...the patient may me dead by the time the Rx gets delivered." In market terms 15 months time and only 15 EBR1190RS's left is a very naughty position in which to find a fledgling company. KTM, Aprilia, Ducati or a Japanese bike could plug the hole in that time. I want Erik Buell Racing to succeed, that is just awful timing. I fail to believe that Erik does not have a bridge-bike that can bridge that time gap. Somebody at marketing or some journalist has not transmitted info. IF EBR puts one or two bikes on virtually every race podium, he could build demand and product recognition for a clamoring public. Maybe I am just too old to see the logic.
I myself does not believe that it will be 2014 before new bikes show up. I think we will see the RX soon they have said they want to go world superbike racing 100 1190 RS's will not do it something like 3000 bikes have to be built to race. Go WSB racing in 2014 that sounds doable.
I'm with Dana. It is hard to imagine it will be that long, and for me, not basing it on racing issues (don't know anything about it really). EBR is signing on dealers, and I know of at least four with EBR web pages up or under construction. If there are only 15 RS's left, one taken to go around with the AMA transporter, one or two to show at the factory, what will the dealers do? Sell posters and t-shirts for a year? Hard to imagine.
