Coolice the problem with a track day is that people that come from far and wide don't like to risk damage to there scoot and maybe being stuck in a bad situation. But it could be done if we got proper feedback from interested people. Then it would be a thing of getting the interested to prepay for the track day.Theres plenty we could do we could even have a best koolaid contest and see if anyone could make better koolaid then Dave.LOL But seriously there is avenues we could look into.I say lets start planning.I'll be speaking to Spidey tomorrow via phone.Come on Dennis we need ya man. |

Track day solution... Talk to Spidey if you drop your ride. I have seen first hand that he keeps a small selection of quick fix parts with him! |

Or a track day ON Road America for BUELLS only (sorry Dyna)and ride up to Daves store for a sportbike day?...... Scaredy cat Hmm, now what if a Buell owner signed up & paid for his track day & the day before his bike has "issues"? He cant bring his backup bike? Dana..dont be scared to take the bike out on the track. Thats what they were designed for. I dont believe you have ever attended a track day have you? Try it, lots of fun. |

Sorry guys....I think it should be somewhere outside of Wisconsin. Or at least closer to Madison. There are more road varieties in the western part of the state. Also more inexpensive hotels and a better selection of campgrounds. We could still make a group ride to the factory (only about 1hr) and/or a track day at Blackhawk (same 1hr). I'm available to help but my dates are very selective (especially mid-July through August). Not to be selfish but I put a lot of my blood, sweat and tears (not mention time & energy) into the 20th (along with Dana, Spidey and a small host of other great Badwebbers). Because of my job, I wasn't able to fully enjoy the rewards of that work. Let's keep the juices flowing on this. It's a great idea. I'm just not sold on another East Troy event (been there, done that x 5) |

What about the Prairie du Chien area? Good roads plus it's not that far from East Troy if people wanted to do a day trip. |

Lake your suggestion of the Madison area sounds good. Interstate highways for easy arrival and lots of lodging available. Sauk City Buell there. And it gets us within a radius to ride to East Troy, Appleton (DaveS), Hal's, Uke's, and Blackhawk or Road America. It was great this year to be at the Formula Extreme races and the Mike's knew we were there for them! Great ideas, anyone able to contact BRAG to see what they may plan so we work with them and its not so much work for a few people AND we get a large attendance. |

Dyna its not a me being afraid its called out of state people and then something happens that they don't go home the way they came.....by bike. Have I ever done a track day not by a school, but years ago you could go out to Black Hawk pay a small fee and run the track all day. They were usually week days but I used to do that often. That was a long time ago...things have changed. Now its just a matter of time. |

I'll weigh in on this, Not east troy again. I love hangin with everybody thats fun, but the riding is just boring, I am with lake on this, plus it's been done already. Colorado , north georgia, ozarks, heck lets make it about riding not visiting a factory, or getting free sandwiches at some dealership. the bikes are for riding lets make it a riding adventure. I'd say cali but I know I could never get out altho I would love to, I want to ride out there so bad. altho cali could be dooable and help on finaces if some of us pitched in on a trailor rental, saved our tires and, if need be rent a big van and everybody pile in and make a ture blue road trip of it, film it make a dvd of the whole dang adventure and then laugh about it years from now. now thats sounds like an adventure. theres my 2 cents |

Colorado would be fun. Haven't been there since I was 13. If we end up going somewhere out west, I'll happily volunteer the truck and pick some people up from around here for the haul out. Have to find a decent-sized trailer, though. East Troy...been there, done that. (Message edited by darthane on August 17, 2004) |

For those that read Sacborg....think Meet in the Middle. Not necessarily the same location but that type of event. From what I have read about it, it is pretty much just riding!! |

Brag is supposed to do a Colorado event in 2005. They want to do it during Cyclefest(www.cyclefestco.com). But the sporsoring dealer wants to do it out of the Denver area. I don't know how its all going to work out. Go to the Tale Section and look up Colorado Ridefest 2001. Towards the bottom of the page. Start at the begining. Lots of info and pics. I don't know how to link to it or I would put it here. Kim |

Ditto, I'd love to participate, but would like the chance to go somewhere else and ride for a while, see new scenery !! CJ |

Hey, Bluey; I'm from central Mass., and The idea of Colorado has my interest. Of course, I lived in Colorado Springs from '73 to '77, so I know what the roads are like. I have to go over Independence Pass again, it's been way too long. |
