S3 is a fuel injected manta tank. |

The S2's have a fuel tank and a cover, (like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-S2-S2T-Fuel-cell-cov er-gas-tank-fairing-Thunderbolt-1995-1996-bodywork -/200851739897?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=ai d%3D222001%26algo%3DSIC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D1 1%26meid%3D4234934277016905370%26pid%3D100011%26pr g%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D200824211429%26) and the S3 has a nylon tank with a coating that (usually)(frequently) bubbles. |

The S2 works on other tubers...it's just not too pretty without the cover.

S3's are either carb'd or EFI...but yes, a Manta tank. Peanut tanks were only on early M2, and S1. 98 S1W and S3 (carb) debuted the Manta. 99-up saw the Manta on everything but X1, which was a cell with a cosmetic cover. All S2/S2T's are a cell with a cosmetic cover. |

Thanks. Footpeg hardware is old Buell race parts stuff and S2 lowering peg mounts turned upside-down. The shifter is my own creation made of Blast and X1 shifter parts screwed together. It allows for infinite adjustment. It'll do 4 gals if I let it go empty. |

Thanks rick. I am doing a derby like yours also! Do you have a close up of the shifter? |
