Both aux power outlets won't work I checked fuses, swapped relays, and tried with key on, key off, and key on the P feature. Any ideas why both wouldn't work? |

The ECU controls whether to turn them on or off. If the battery voltage drops below a certain level, the brain pulls the plug on the Accessory circuit. I hooked my kuryakin voltmeter to my aux plug in the rear. When I first turn on the bike it won't light up until the engine is running. |

Try again with the engine running. The power outlets are controlled by the ECM and only operate if the ECM says all is OK. |

Checking the Uly 2006 schemes: Both aux. power outlets get the power from the pin 87 (O/R wire) of the AUX. relay which switches the main power from the 10A AUX. fuse trough its pin 30 (R wire). The coil from the AUX relay is commanded at its pin 86 (O/W wire) which get the power from 10A ACCESSORY fuse. Pin 85 of the coil has ground. Check 12VDC at the inlet contact of the AUX. fuse. If the flasher works, the outlet of the ACCESSORY fuse is OK. |

I don't know if EU version Ulys are different in this case, but my bike has power in the aux. outlets without running the engine. I've a little torch in the seat outlet with a charge-indicating LED; it's on at the moment I turn the key switch. |

Not sure but I think they made a change somewhere between your 06 and his 09. My 08 XT power outlets are dead unless the bike is running. Thanks. |

07 and before the power was on to the outlets when the key was turned on. 08 and later power was controlled by the kill switch. The '12 models were going to use brain wave proximity sensing, but well, you know what happened. |
