Thought I'd post here, though know that not many Buell draggers around September 22/23 Nopi is kicking off its Nopi Nationals car show/race again. First time in four years I think (maybe five, maybe three, cant remember exactly) This year its a smaller venue, Atlanta Dragway in Commerce Georgia, which is an hour or so north of ATL. Of course theres a huge car and truck show, but with it being at a great NHRA 1/4 mile track, there will be car and bike racing classes. The bike classes, there are two - Pro ET and Street ET Pro ET: Wheelie Bars or Drag slicks. ELECTRONICS ALLOWED. So these boys will be running delay boxes. Street ET: No lower than 3" from the ground, no bars, no slicks. I'll be taking my 08 1125R as I'd rather try my hand at it on that VS my dragbike against delay boxes (im really against them) I know Ash (HowClutchWorks) is planning on coming down too on his 1125R Anyone else interested? Its 35$ to get in and race for both saturday and sunday Saturday is testing - UNLIMITED TEST RUNS! So you'll get plenty of practice Sunday will be ONE Qualifying run and then the show starts (since its a car show, I should say ELIMINATIONS start). Its 100% payout Only downside to that is HOW they are doing payouts Winner from Street ET races winner from Pro ET for Winner and Runner Up, theyre the only ones getting paid that day (so far, I've heard some extra sponsor money has been tossed in, dont know if this will change things or not) Come on down, would love to see some HD/Buell racers out there showing we're still here and ready to put some boys on their trailers! |

Wow , that payout is both strange and unfair..... good luck to both of you - beating bar bikes is always great , but to trailer a barred, slicked and boxed bike would be fantastic ! Keep us posted..... |
