I'm considering a move from western PA to Greenville SC. What is the closest "good" Buell service and parts shop to Greenville? How many miles/hours/days to get there? Thanks! |

The closest servicing dealer is probably Thundertower HD/Buell in Columbia, about 120 miles south east of Greenville. I think they've got a decent reputation for servicing Buells. Check in with the SC Buell Riders group (http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 130123.html?) in Stormfronts. |

Just moved from Spartenburgh SC there was a dealer just outside of Charlotte but they went under. There is another in Hickory NC that is....O.K, used them for warranty work on my CR but other then that I did it all myself, |

What about Tilley's in Statesville, NC? I have no service experience with them but they did sell quite a few Buells. They also did some of the Muffler shoot out on their dyno a few years back i believe. |

The closest dealer to you according to the locator at buell.com is in Athens, GA, about 96 miles away. No idea if they're a decent dealer or not: Harley-Davidson of Athens http://www.cycleworldathens.com/ 4225 Atlanta Highway Bogart, GA 30622-2262 706-549-6890 |

I purchased my first Buell from Cycleworld of Athens. They did all my service work and always took great care of me. I recommend them for service work because they sell Harleys and crotch rockets so they have a very diverse group of mechanics. |

Thanks guys! It looks like nothing is "close", but opinions on the dealerships in NC and GE are welcome. I got spoiled here in western PA with an authorized service station only 15 minutes away. |

Look at it as a good excuse to start doing your own maintenance. |

I would NOT recommend the Hickory dealer. They did not know Buell's back when they were still in business, so I am pretty sure they would not be any better now. that said, they never completed any work for me good or bad. Tore my clutch apart, but I picked up the bike and fixed myself when Buell refused to cover it under warranty. |
