Though i am curious if anyone has tried the additional fan under the tail idea. Seems doable. Just one more thing to add to a already struggling electrical system though |

The only part of the heat that bothers me is the cooking of my right big toe - is there anything for that? EZ |

At the risk of adding another amateur opinion, when my tank vent crimped, I had all the problems you listed, except the gas in the eyes when I opened the tank. Fixed the restricted vent line (not entirely plugged), heat shielded as much as I could slip inside the frame with the airbox top and bottom off, and now much better. Have ridden 117, not fun but not burned up. No complete solution, but several pieces of it. |

Its been in the shop this week. They are going to ride it for extended periods in traffic to heat her up and recreate issue for themselves so they can start figuring it out. They still want to blame the full fairing but cant as cali can was put on in first week i owned it do to it pissing fuel everywhere when ridden. |

I agree with all the other posts ref the fact that there is something wrong with the vent / calican conversion for it to blow fuel out of the filler cap. As for the running hot then surely they know if the engine temps on yours are normal for the region you live and ride in? Not sure it was a good idea though to further enclose the engine on a bike that by your own admission you wasn't happy with the temps it ran at though until the problem had been sorted. |

Are you on the race ECU? I had very similar sounding issues with fuel boiling in Albuquerque until I insulated the frame & put the race ECU on. The race ECU runs things a LOT cooler than the stock ECU. |

Kev.. engine temps are normal. Frame is acting as a heatsink, boiling fuel out overflow, gas cap ect and its been 3 years and they havent figured out why. To be fair id take it in they cant find out why, do some things and then id give up for months Its stock ecm/exhaust. Frame is insulated and dont wnat to change anything until they fix the issue |

I'm quite familiar with the issue. I have video of mine boiling fuel vigorously. The race ECU runs the engine much cooler - it's not running it as close to peak EGT, so the engine remains substantially cooler (especially at idle), and you don't heatsoak the frame as badly. I used to boil fuel on a rather regular basis - any time I was caught in traffic, I'd heat fuel up to boiling in the tank. Insulation helped, but didn't cure it completely. After installing the race ECU, I don't think I've boiled fuel once. |

I have this too. First thing everyone does when they get off their bikes in the motorcycle parking lot at work, is light up a cigerette. Makes me cringe. |

Well they cant find anything. They got it to 120f at seat but no hotter and said it didnt boil. Weather been cool and rain so that doesnt help but im at a loss as to what to do |
