Hey guys so I've got a 2009 1125r with 1,000 miles on it. It had a loose stator nut from the factory and didn't become apparent until last month and I had my local dealer check it out and they torqued it down. I just got my bike back a few days ago and when I'm in 1st-3rd gear at ~4,000 rpm is seems to make this buzzing noise around the lower engine area. When the stator nut was loose it made a loud clacking sound when the bike was warm and this is nothing like it. This new sound is a much more rapid sort of tinny buzzing noise. The guy at the dealer only torqued the nut to 200 ft lbs since "that's all his torque wrench would do" but he did put loctite green on it (it didn't have any from the beginning). It made the sound right out of the dealership so I'm wondering what in the world it could be. Any ideas guys? (Message edited by Stealthbobber on August 10, 2012) |

So you think I should take it in and make them tighten it? |

#1 - use RED loctite #272 not green(648).<edit> 648 is for the sprag bolts. Tighten to 210 Back off 720 degrees(2 turns). Tighten to 295. Close up and have a beer. Z (Message edited by zac4mac on August 11, 2012) |

those nuts are supposed to be 1x use only. You will need a new one. |

And then afterwards find a dealer that does things correctly the first time with the correct tools .............. he might as well have tightened it using a breaker bar if he wasn't even going to use the correct torque ![; )](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/winker.gif) |
