Was thinking of fitting HID lighting kit on the XT, anyone else fitted HID lighting? Is it possible to fit a kit which lights both lamps on low and high beam? Seen these kits on ebay, pretty cheap http://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-XENON-LIGHT-SLIM-KIT-9 005-H4-H7-9006-H11-9003-9004-9007-5K-6K-8K-10K-12K -/250930926658?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessori es&hash=item3a6ca61442 |

DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY! This what you want: If you just want to convert one bulb - http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-35W-55W-Sing le-Motorcycle-HID-Kit If you want to convert both bulbs - http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-35W-55W-Dual -Motorcycle-HID-Kit Pick 35w, H7, 4500K, you do not need any additional wiring, relays, or any other crap, it is entirely plug and play. |

I have the older versions of that kit. Headlights will work exactly the same, it just replaces the bulb. If you want both lights on at the same time, you just need to rock the low/high toggle switch to the middle. |

Ok, wonder how fast they ship, my brother leaves NC next Wednesday and I wanted to get them shipped to him to bring home to Ireland, save alot on shipping that way. |

Froggy, Do you know if this is plug-and-play for an '06 with room for the ballasts in the headlight housing? Thanks! Jesse |

Contact them and see, some of their items are drop shipped from China, while some things they have on hand in California.

Yes it is. Installation is easy.
- Remove headlamp
- Remove rubber boots and the bulbs.
- Cut a hole in the boot the size of a quarter, this will allow the bulb and wiring to fit through
- Insert bulb into housing
- Feed the two wires through the boot hole, attach boot
- Stuff the ballast boxes somewhere under the flyscreen
- Connect everything, all the connectors are keyed so you would have to be extra special to screw this up. Obviously don't cross the wiring between the high and low bulbs.
- Turn the key on to check, you should be good to go.

I can tell you from experience that the Xentec ballasts suck. I've had good luck with other HID kits from eBay, but avoid Xentec at all costs if you ever expect to be even caught in the rain just once for just a few minutes, because despite their claims, the ballasts are not waterproof. In my Suburban the ballasts were under the hood and they got water in them just going through the car wash and fried. The high voltage leads do not have a seal on them. I got replacement ones under warranty and they are the same problem. I got different ballasts with the kit that I bought for my TDM, and they are fine, and I ordered just ballasts to replace the xentec ones, and they are fine too. Ebay is fine, just avoid Xentec at all costs. |

I ordered a different set last night on ebay, not Xentec, they come with 2 year warranty and the company haven't got any bad feedback regarding the HID units. Fingers crossed! |
