Author Message   Gkostolny Posted on Monday, October 08, 2012 - 05:00 pm:        Over the last year or so my 2008 Uly has occasionally made some weird noises when starting (kind of a loud screeching noise). It always started after one or two tries, and once running goes fine, perfectly smooth. Today I pulled it out of the garage after a couple of weeks and started it up in the morning, no problem. However, when I took it home for lunch this afternoon, when I tried starting it again, I got more of a loud knock/bang kind of noise and the bike jerked before starting, and again, running smoothly. Any thoughts on what may be going on here? The noise seems to be on the left hand side of the bike. Could be the solenoid plunger, but in any case the starter. Good luck, pls let us know the outcome. Dave
