Hi Guys, I just ordered a new belt for my 06X [G0500.1AAH] If you look on Buellparts .net it lists it as the Ulysses Stock Belt. But it just seems to be way too short. I've been looking around and I found the [G0500.1AKF] which seems to be called a Ulysses OEM belt. Which I'm guessing is what I should have ordered. So did I screw the pooch and order the wrong part? I've read that new belts are super tight, but I dont see how I could possibly make this one fit. |

Yep you got a Firebolt belt, not a Ulysses belt. Doesn't surprise me about that shifty buellparts site, next time order from American Sport Bike and you will get the right one |

Thanks. I actually just pasted the part # from buellparts into Surdyke.com. $155 there vs $182 at American Sport Bike. I'll go cheaper route everytime. Now to see about getting this returned. |

Don't be surprised if Surdyke sends you a giant rubber band instead. |

I've ordered a dozen things from surdyke. Cheaper, shipped fast and all official Buell parts. I ordered the first belt from them, this is what I got. $154.

I just got a spare belt part number G0500.1AKF myself - is this what they call the updated Ulysses belt? What year did they introduce the updated belt in, 08 or 09? Thanks! |

The 'E' and 'F' belts are the same and the newest, upgraded belts. The 'E' was an interim designation on the new belt to help Goodyear track specific belts. The 'E' and 'F' belts were significantly upgraded. A number of the 2008 Uly's had the 'D' belt installed but those belts can last a lot of miles. |
