I'm looking for someone who has a Touratech front guard fitted, my XT had one fitted at some stage but when I bought it there was only half of the original guard left which bolts to the front of the bash plate, don't know what happened to it but someone had cut it down. I've started to manufacture my own replacement but I need to see a couple of photos of how the Touratech one mounts at the top, onto the engine and engine support. Could someone please take a couple of pics for me? I can see on the Touratech website that there are 2 x rubber mounts??? There seems to be a stainless steel extra bracket, whats its purpose? Any info much appreciated. |

Download the Installation instructions. That should answer all of your questions. The rubber mounts are addel clamps. Good Luck (Message edited by Buelldualsport on July 16, 2012) |

Been looking at the design/mounting and thinking of changing the design of mine slightly from the original Touratech, does anyone know if the muffler/bash plate is rubber mounted? I'm thinking of mounting on to the RHS tie bar fixing which is solid and then onto the front of the muffler/bash plate where the original Touratech bottom fixings are, it would mean the guard would be solid between those to points, if the muffler/bash plate isn't rubber mounted then this shouldn't be a problem???? I dont see the need to mount off the tie bar which moves with the engine. |

Touratech told me they dont sell the bash plate anymore? I need one bad. I've got a new BUELL Gel seat(Lighting) 2 trade for a bash plate and risers. |
