The low seat is very low 1-2" lower than the stock seat. It is very dished and has an almost leather dimpled look to the rider position. The stock seat is basically flat with about a 1/2" drop between rider and pillion and it is a more textile looking material. low seat http://www.pashnit.com/pics/bikes/Buell/Ulysses/pa shnit/4287-seat.jpg regular seat http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2006models/2 006-Buell-UlyssesXB12Xa.jpg |

I have an 09 XT and it must have came with the low seat. Never did like it. After 26K miles I had enough. This morning Fed-Ex dropped off a brand new in the box seat for an 06 Uly. I only rode maybe 30 miles today but so far I like it. Tomorrow I'll ride a couple hundred miles to see if it's all day comfortable. Best part is the seat only cost $117 delivered to my door. |

Today I rode about 225 miles to test the 06 seat on my 09 Uly. Man, what a difference. I can live with this seat. I live about 40 miles north of Tampa and I rode to Oklawaha, Fl for lunch. Great bar/restaurant on a fresh water lake with a nice beach. Oklawaha is famous for being the town where Ma Barker and one of her sons, Fred, were gunned down in 1935 by J. Edgar Hoover and his gang. Anyway, looks like I'll be taking the Uly on longer trips now that I have a comfortable seat. |
