When I ride to work in the morning, it runs great, no issues. Leave work in the afternoon and it starts and idles fine. Drive quarter mile and it wants to stall at all stop lights. Have to gently twist the throttle to maintain engine speed. Riding at speed is fine, until I get off the highway, then it either stalls or idles at 1500+. Any help would be appreciated. |

Intake seals or cam position sensor. Seals are cheaper, start there. |

Try popping the gas cap, listen for hiss. Vent valve might be sticking. SteveH |

Given the sudden nature of the symptom, I would first start by making sure all the electrical connections are tight. The intake seals are fairly easy to test by pointing a portable propane tank nozzle at the space between the intake and the heads while holding a steady engine speed. Any change in the engine speed indicates a leak. I would also check the condition of the throttle cables as well as the throttle body plate to make sure nothing is binding. |
