Just installed a GP shift kit and love it. The only downside is that the linkage gets in the way of hooking the sidestand to lower it after a ride. Anybody else who has a kit have any trick to your approach of lowering the stand? |

I added a piece of aluminum to the end of my kick stand so that I can reach it with my toe, when on the bike. It looks funny when the bike is on the kick stand but when its up you really cannot even tell its there. |

You guys added the aluminum by welding it or with a clamp of some sort? I'm no welder. |

What would be great, since I prefer not to weld on the stock stand, is if I could find a side peg that would clamp on to the sidestand. Something like the following but clamp rather than welded.

Drilled, tapped and then just screwed it on |
