Anyone have a set of front turn signals for an S2 they want to sell me? I am attempting to restore my S2T to as close to its original look as I can. |

John, did you have a post on CL about a month ago regarding this? I tried to email you. CL must have bounced it. The general components like that only come from a couple of companies and if you look closely enough, you may find a match on a different bike of a similar or earlier year. The Westwind models supposedly used 1990-ish Yamaha signals and those may have survived the transition to Harley ownership and redesign on the S2. Do they look like these? These are the later signals that the previous owner adapted to my S2. I didn't know they weren't stock until I removed the fairing and found the enlarged holes. I'm not fond of them because the stock signals were obviously post mount. The later replacements use 1/4" or 6mm screws and pass the wires through a second hole. That requires redrilling the fairing and mount. I wouldn't have done that. |

Greg saw your bike at the Pro Italia show, very nice. I was going to ride my S2T there but had a stroke the week before and can't use my left eye right now. I am recovered to where I can drive my car, but my wife is not ready for the discussion about bike riding yet. I was inspired by the Buells to work on my S2 and enter it next year. It should be the only touring S2 there (perhaps). Your signals look similar but the stalks are too long. I could use signals off a 2007 Buell but would like to get back to original if I can |

Aww, man, I wish I had known. It would have been good to meet. I was really busy wandering around, looking at all the bikes. A stroke? Wow, heal well. I searched Ebay and found a BUNCH of them, identical to the ones on the Westwind. I'm seeing two lengths. My guess is you're looking for the short ones. It seems they used them on some 1980s TW200s as well as other models (radian, etc). See if those short ones are right. The magazine tests I have of the S2 don't have large enough photos for me to verify. |

There was a post a while back about late 90's Triumphs using the same turn signals, but I can't remember if it was confirmed or not. Might be worth a look. Mike |

Wow, thanks for that photo. I guess that settles it: they aren't even close to being the same as the RS signals. In the search on Ebay, I did find a bunch of interesting styles that were post-mount. This thread may cause me to change mine as well; the mounts just aren't right for this bike. With all the post-mount signals out there, I have no idea why the PO changed it to the 1/4" bolt-on style. |

Here's a good place to attach a question. With XB lights on an S2, will the flasher work without a resistor or extra module? |

Replaced the rear on my S2 with X1 and after- market on the front fairing using 1157 bulbs no problem with mine... My S2t has after-market up front and M2 in the rear..I think as long as the bulbs have the same range of resistance the flashers and self-canceling work. |

I have tried Bike Bandit, and triumph for signals. Diagrams show to be exact replacement. But when you receive parts they are same as above pic from Hotrats, mounted on bike. Also, the $55 is price at either place, and came as pair. |
