Love my xb12, Doing track days now and want some upgrades, what is the best (and cost worthy) upgrade. Just got a K&N air filter, should I get RACE ECM, Exhaust, etc.. Also Can I download race maps onto a Stock ecm? I am naive about Performance exhaust, they pull more torque right? so whats better a Race ecm with the stock actuator value in the xb12 exhaust or would I need to get a Race ecm and exhaust; also best brands of exhaust would be awesome. Much appreciated |

If you are going to spend that kind of money on a performance clutch and oil pump, why not sell it and get the 1125R? Yes you can download maps to your stock ecm. Yes the exhaust will help with torque. This will answer all your exhaust questions. http://www.americansportbike.com/XB_Exhaust_Shooto ut_Test_Report.zip If you are looking for any significant increase in power then you will need a big bore kit. http://www.revperf.com/product_info.php?products_i d=144 http://www.nrhsperformance.com/ekitbuellxb12r.shtm l Here is a link to some tuning files in my dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ib0ec3m0k1jsvg1/AADGCPO G_DlmuBSZBkTHTyGda?dl=0 |

Here's a quickie for more bottom torque out of the corners on a short straight away track !!! If your counter shaft sprocket is a 29T, drop to a 27T(-2T) ... If your XB motor sprocket is a 38T drop to a 35T(-3T) and you will have to buy a chain to ... |

ha I like the shorter sprocket idea except im doing Road Atlanta track day which is more open and requires some hire speeds as Ive heard. The exhaust shootout helped a bunch thanks Terrys1980 Last question though, Which is better (and i know it depends on use and riding style etc) but a Race ECM, or a Race map on a stock ecm Thanks |

If I am not mistaken the entire race eeprom can be flashed to the stock ecm. Ultimately to fine tune it correctly a wideband O2 sensor and some datalogging with will need to be done. I added some more docs and ECM files to my dropbox. I spent a lot of time putting all this information together while tuning my XB9 a few years back. |

You also want to richen up the fuel mixture which will cause your engine to run faster, "PLUS" COOLER ... "AND" adjust your primary chain to 3/4 inch loose on the chain tight spot ... (Message edited by buellistic on October 29, 2014) |
