key was left on and fried the batt.got a new batt. and bike cranks but has no spark.could it have taken out the ign. or coil? if side stand switch goes bad will bike still turn over? |

Because the key was on should have drained the battery but not fried it. You should have been able to charge it (maybe). I have an M2. The coil and ignition should still be OK. On the M2's if the side stand switch is good it will only kill when you let out the clutch (if the side stand is down) then it will die. You can jumper the 2 wires for the side switch to get that out of the way. Check your diodes also. Also your clutch switch. But like I said I have an M2. Switches are easy to check. |

yea the batt.would not take a charge,i could only get like 8 volts in it. |
