1996 Buell S1 Lighting w/2000 cases, flywheels, con rods & oil pump. Highly modified road race bike: Paint job is an homage to the Harley Superbike, 1/2 orange 1/2 black. Total loss charging system, with smaller/lighter battery (good for about 24 laps). Titanium nitride coated WP forks, compression and rebound adjustable. .95 Kg springs, set up and by Dave Hodges/Circuit One Suspension. Penske Shock, remote reservoir, adjustable ride height/preload/compression/rebound, sprung for a 175 lb rider + race gear, gone through by Dave Hodges/Circuit One. Ohlins steering damper. Stainless steel brake lines front and rear. EBC pro lite floating steel brake rotor on aluminum carrier. EBC sintered front brake pads. Marchesini rims, 17” front & 16 ˝ “ rear (yes a 16 ˝ like they run in MototGP and WSBK). Shift light, set at 7200 RPM, mounted on tach. Crane single fire ignition system, coil, adjustable advance curves & rev limiter. Storz shift lever arm and custom made high rear set pegs, reverse shift pattern. Banke Performance frame brace. Millenium Aluminum Nickel Silicon Carbide coated cylinders, stock bore 10.5:1 pistons. Nalin NHRS Stage 2 Heads, ported, flowed, oversize titanium valves & retainers. Must run min 110 octane gas with these heads and pistons, I usually used C-12 race gas. Zippers pushrod cover kit, billet aluminum lifter block, 2 piece covers (for easy adjust) Airtech: GSXR upper fairing, Buell front fender, GP tail section, Graves fairing bracket. Zero Gravity wind screen & Buell belly pan, carbon fiber rear fender and air cleaner cover. 520 chain conversion, new DID gold chain. Supertrapp exhaust muffler, Buell stainless larger diam exhaust header. Mikuni HRS42 42mm flatslide carb, jetting tuned on dyno & race track. Brand new battery. 2 separate catch can systems, one for the heads, one for cases. Many spares including wheels – ask for list. Dyno’d at 95 rear wheel horsepower, not tuned for peak power - but a smooth overall curve. On the dyno with no wind resistance it tops out at 148mph, geared for the SIR track. The bike has not been raced since 2005. The new cases and low end were done in 2003, and raced for a season in 2004, There are 4 races on a new top end ('05), oil has been changed after every race weekend (use the larger capacity big twin filter). Mileage is listed as "000" b/c there is no odometer on the bike. I'm the second owner, it has been a race bike since brand new at Eastside Harley Davidson WA. $6200 No trades. Not even for your totally sweet clapped out roach of a quad.
