Invested in the Powerlet Power Bar 12v mount the the accompanying PBK006 detachable mount for the Zumo 660. The Powerlet (Ram) snap on cradle does not snap on. Powerlet just said, force it till if fits. Not too good an idea. Anyone have an alternative solution to mounting the GPS so that it can be removed at lunch, dinner end of day and etc? Thanks |

The 660/665 come off its base with a simple push of the release button. Or were you looking to remove the gps and base together. |

We purchased the RAM mount so that all we had to do, was to snap it our of the mount when we stopped. The Powerlet Power Bar and Power Cable for the 660 are very robust and usable. However the snap in mount is either the wrong one, or something. Appreciate all the input. Regards Ride Safe |

The PKB-006 is for the Nuvi 660 not the Zumo 660. I use Garmin bases on Techmount bar mounts on both of my bikes. I can take off or switch the gps to the other bike in seconds.

Correct in deed you are. Now the Question. Is there a comparable Zumo 660 mount from Ram? Thanks for the update |

Touratech has some nice Zumo mounts that're Ram compatible. I've got one for my 550 that's proven durable and reliable for the last four years. http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/1735/Zumo-GPS-M ounts |

Thank you for the update. The price point is a bit strong, especially when you consider we have already invested $100 in one that is not going to work. |

Yeah, Touratech prices are often nosebleed inducing. It took me a year of arguing with myself before I could justify the outlay. Any chance you can return the Powerlet mount for a refund? |
