Is this possible because I'm imagining that I am about as liable to find a used XB12Ss/XB12XT/XB12STT shock as I am to fix the whole "world peace" conundrum?!? I know the issues w/the front forks -either get XB12S/XB12R forks or figure out a way to lower existing fork tubes in the tree. But I was wondering if somehow (how... I cannot imagine now that I have looked into it) I could simply find a Showa spring that would be correct rate and leave the shock body itself alone (except for adjusting settings maybe).

Be easier to find someone looking for Uly right height and swap out rear shock, forks, and kick stand (if it's different).

I used the HyperPro spring 1 inch lowering set kit with progressive wound springs. Handling is even better and the Uly sure is easier for me to move around at campsites. I have driven right around North America on a camping trip last summer, no deficiencys, no problems. Bike is real sporty even loaded down with camping gear.
