Silverbullet: Well I went about it the hard way. I do not have a welder and I have easier access to a mill. So I took the top part of the S3 faring mount that is stock on all 99 and up tubers, and ground it down to accept the siz of the top mount on the XBR faring stay. I then took measurements and machined a block of billit to the size i needed to connect he lower S3 faring stay mount to the lover XBR faring stay. Works great except for a little movement. If I had a welder I would have just welded a mount to where it needed to be. Everything else was fit an finish. Dash, bars, etc. You guys are both in Georgia right? Later, Spidey Let me know if you need any more than this. Sounds pretty straight forward. |

I HATE MY COMPUTER!!!! But I LOVE MY WIFE(soon to be). }Anyway, battle trax sounds good. I think yall have a lot of great ideas for this promotion! as far as meeting next week it should be no problem. As long as the weather permits I will see all who will be there at the Vortex tomorrow. It is amazing how much I can miss in one day. Glitch, evening rides for me can start at 6:30pm usually. I get off work at 5:30 and it takes me a minute to get home. Just email if you want to ride. |

Pete Did some research on the term Battletrax to make sure Reg (Former owner of Battle2win Magazine) had not Trademarked the term.. Turns out Buell has the trademark on Battletrax, sooooo release forms should be available from Buell... (as well as layout details???) I would figure that SMHD would already have a release form for the Dyno... |

Torqer... Could you put together a parts and price list for the Firebolt triple clamp conversion and a set of black levers from the XB9SX. Did you ever look into a new master cylinder? |

Mini, you got mail! What new helmet did you get? Stealth, sounds like fun! I want some black levers also. And the headlamp guard. And the tank topper (if it's a part by itself). I think I may be interested in that seat also. Torqer, you feelin' better? Hope so. |

I slept well and feel a bit better. Thanks I did look into a master cylinder but only briefly. The stock one only gets in he way by about 1/4 or 3/8 of an inch... not enough for me to justify the expense of a new one. ( that may be why I am more confident in the right handers! ) Plus I could always go back and make the change. I'll get a parts and price list together for you this afternoon. I have several of the headlamp guards on order. The tank topper is not sold separately at this point. (Message edited by torqer on July 30, 2004) |

Rebecca and Mike went. I left out to go after the storm passed only to ride straight into one with full leathers on. Funny how leather acts as a sponge. Turned and went home. Bet I weighed in at over two hundred pounds I could hardly move. Fargin storm. |

Michael and I went down and got SOAKED on 78 between Mtn. Industrial and Brockett. Then the elements gave us time to dry in the sun all the way down Ponce. We pulled into the Vortex, got off our bikes and the Monsoon hit for about 30 minutes. After that it cleared up and things picked up. Gator showed up, Charlie with Sam and Maricio/Cesaer with his little boy. Nothing 'exciting' happened like bikes hitting the ground or anything just the the same basic evening. I did talk to the guy who heads up the Mentor program with GA Sport Bike regarding them participating in our biker enthusiast day and he was really excited. He really liked the idea of being able to get some exposure for their 'Adopt a Newbie' program. They hook up new riders with experienced riders so they can learn 'the rules of the road' and good overall riding habits so that the roads are safer for all of us. You know Pete the way this is looking I don't think Hooters would really be the environment we should meet to discuss all this in. I think, and it's just my humble opinion that we should meet somewhere that we won't have our conversation drowned out by music or other loud conversations and Hooters can be pretty loud at times. |
