I'm hooking up some Hyperlites. I' m electrically challenged as I've stated before. Is the brake light wire red/orange? Schematic shows brake SW red/orange to tail light assembly and black is grd. I've shorted a harness on a bike before so I'm being careful |

I had also considered modding up my top box, but instead found the Knight Riderz LED light bar and decided to mount it on the license plate frame. It integrated well, once I had it all wired in. Super bright, too, flashing 5 times then holding steady when activated. Otherwise it's on as a running light. Having been rearended at a stop light, any little bit helps.

Looks good, That was the number one reason in adding a third brake/running lights. The thought of getting rear ended. I find myself looking more in the rear view mirrors lately these days. Every bit of light helps i guess. |

I wired up some LED strips as tail/brake lights in my top box reflector also. The main reason I did that was because when the trunk is installed, the stock tail light is so far down and under the trunk. I think it would be hard to see from the rear for anyone driving anything that sets up higher than a Corvette. It would be especially hard to see when traffic is bunched up. Buellyxt, your bike looks great, I like that extra light. Thanks. |

Yeah, I was on a Vstrom when I got hit from behind by a car that forgot I was there. Luckily it was from a stop, so I got a nice jolt, but kept control. I had just shortened the fender, too, so the bumper simply hit the tire. Jambed my thumb is all. I wholly endorse the LED bar. Quite eye-catching. |
