i would like to stretch my bike and need a bit of help with swingarm options . i was wondering if some company has built them for our bikes or have guys just fabbed their own . I dont mind using a different wheel to make it work like mikes. I wonder if you had a hyabusa stretch arm if you could fab it up to work or probably just start fresh any help would be appreciated thx |

I used a fireblade arm in mine. Already stretched, seemed the sensible thing to do. I just fabbed a new front/bearing carrier to match the back of the 1125 motor.I'll see if I can load some pics for you. In the meantime joe put a couple up when I raced with him |

http://www.efrracing.com/ Elton Fish did Mikes arm. looks good, but man it's pricey. batty, post some pics, I've often wondered why a regular arm couldn't be modified to fit our bikes. |

I think batty has the best idea, use something that exists already so that it is cheaper Only thing is how you got hte strut/shock mount since the 1125 has an offset shock Budgolf - Im hoping to see you at Rockingham sometime in 2012,we should hook up (not THAT way perv.... ) and I'll bring my 1125 down as well. I am really eager to run it one time all out. I ran it at AHDRA Rock race, but was slowing down the whole time to meet index |

I just added a new mount on the front, the shock mount took some working out and went thru a couple of alterations while in use. Managed a couple of hundred track miles and will now be used to make a jig,so that I can make a nice tidy arm that weighs a bit less. tried uploading pics direct, but keep being told too big, will try via photobucket |

Sorted, bit big but shows some of the relevant parts. Arm is out now, I'll get some more pics done of the mount I added. |

will you be selling the arm you have built (like copies of it)? As for the shock mount, it looks like there is a piece that is at 90*, and then a piece in line with the shock, is this correct? Would love to see some more pictures of this thing! |

possibly got to make one arm for another racer over,so making more won't be a prob.I should get one done early next year. Will be more simple and considerably lighter. as far as the linkages go, the vertical leg pivots at it's base - the final version was longer- then the inline part is a turnbuckle with rod ends,so I can adjust up and down. New version will still be adjustable, but will be an adjustable link on a triangular brace- a bit more rigid- although this arrangement has worked very well. |

I'll do some pics of the front of the arm,so you can see what I added to make it fit. No reason why you couldn't use any swingarm. |

There you go, a couple of pics of the new bearing carrier that I added. The offset was put in to keep the chain run more central either side of the arm. Nigel 1125r 9.9@132 |

"nice thx did you take the measurements from the stock one for the off set?" No when I added the new bearing carrier it was free floating so I could fit to the bike and line everything up.While I was doing that I could see that there would be issues with the chain run- at the height I would be running- so I allowed the arm to sit a bit lower,so it stays more in the middle of the chain run,no matter the arm angle. Now I'm going lower still, with a sidewinder,I don't need the offset. Nice job on Bott's arm P. But for out and out drag racing the standard arm limits the amount you can lower the bike. Joe's might as well be a hard tail,it's almost sat on the frame. My mod could be done to many normal type arm,Just needs the bearing carrier/pivot to be tubed like the fireblade...get a bearing carrier turned up then 3-or more if you want- "spectacle" brackets to match your carrier and the swingarm. Then slot the swingarm pivot tube to allow you to slide the brackets in.Voila! bit of careful lining up and some "blue glue" and you're sorted. I'll happily help anyone on my side of the pond. |

How long swing arms are you using? I'm about to weld mine together but it seems to be a little on the long side! The bike is 68 inches between the centers of the axles. Should i try to make it a little bit shorter? I guess it could be a traction problem with too long swing arm?

Jim, here I guess; http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/models/1125r/ 16-tooth-transmission-output-sprocket.html I don't know if there is other places where you can get the sprockets? Thanks Peter |

EBR is using the 520 chain on their sprockets, but I think I've seen 530 front sprockets for the 1125 earlier? I can't remember where I saw it right now.... |
