Used a X1 tach and dash on my M2 for about ten years. Used a X1 windscreen along with it to fit the dash shape, and more especially to block a little more wind. Worked fine, wiring is easy, there are two wires not used if you use the X1/S3 tach since they have an engine light (ecm data), and low fuel warning light (black/yellow & yellow). I just tucked them back into the sheathing.

I got a M2 tach from 651lance on ebay (St Paul H-D) for thirty bucks when I converted my S3 to a carburetor. If you want to use the engine light for your oil pressure and the fuel light for your neutral light, it would be easy to do. (Message edited by harleyelf on January 31, 2012) |
