I have read that the recommended filter for a 2000 X-1 has a PSI of 23. And that lets say a Purolator PL14610 has only 14-18 psi.(I picked the Purolator because it has good insides = good element).

Anyone verify this stock PSI rating? Is there any filter that can be used other than going to HD?

I would like to have a nut on the end for easy removal and being able to wire it so it does not possibly come loose.

No one can direct me on this?
