hey guys, You guys helped me out so much on my last post, so I figured I would ask you guys something else. I changed my oil and had everything ready to go when disaster stuck once again. I went to check my oil and the dipstick broke down the middle. Thankfully it broke and stayed on the threads and didn't fall into the oil pan. So I ordered a new dipstick and have been waiting for many weeks now. They say its on backorder. Well I got tired of waiting and decided to gorilla glue the two pieces back together. Well I was riding 2 days ago and noticed that the two pieces separated while i was riding and the ring that held the body to the frame was gone. So my question is where can I find this rubber ring? Is there anything that I can substitute the ring for or do I have to order that specific part. Thanks guys Oh and btw I am still waiting for the new dipstick | ||

Glad you came back.... You can probably run down to the hardware store and pick up an O-ring from their O-ring assortment and be good to go. I have done that for the transmission drain plug O-ring. |
