i just did my rockerbox gaskets, my bike has 13K and had the old fiber gaskets which just started to leak. back when i had my m2 i did my rockerbox but i didnt have the right tools to torque a few of the bolts. this go-round i searched forever and all i found was the motion-pro rockerbox wrench for ~$23 and i figured i would make my own.

as for the rocker arm retaining bolt that is under the frame, a crows-foot and torque wrench worked fine for me but here is the top allen bolt tool that i used to torque with. i just cut slots in a cheap socket and put the allen in the bolt then slid the socket over the allen wrench and kept the torque wrench at 90 degrees. hope this helps someone else that couldnt find what they were looking for : )

as for the recall shock and adjusting preload, a "FORD WRENCH" worked great for me on the rear nut and also the larger nut attached to the shock housing, here is what they look like:

i use the ford wrench for axle nuts and what-not on airplanes, most A&P toolboxes have one : )

"i" improvised my ROCKER ARM TOOLS so that "i" could correctly TORQUE all rocker arm Allan screws and bolts !!!

You gaskets seal better and last longer !!!

The new metal gasket can be reused and the RUBBERIZED gaskets if in good shape can be put in the freezer for 15 minutes and reused !!!

Buellistic, thanks for all your info, the metal gaskets are great but I replaced all the rubber as well since I got the Hardley Davidson rocker kit. Drilled and chamfered as well : )

If you're talking about the adjustable wrench, it is basically an adjustable crows foot that is extended. You put a torque wrench on the end of it so that you can get to bolts that are underneath the frame or otherwise won't allow the torque wrench head to fit underneath.

It lets you torque the allen-head rocker box bolts that are too close to the frame to get a socket-type hex bit on.

Okay, put the cut down Allen wrench in the bolt, then slip the slotted socket over the Allen wrench, position the torque wrench 90 degrees from the Allen wrench and torque away. If you want to get technical you can use the torque wrench correction formula to fine tune it. Just google the formula.
