I am not sure, but the XB9R that I have came with Steelbraided Brake Lines...but they still seem a little squishy. Are the stock lines not good quality or am I just being silly?

The stock brake lines are Goodrich brand. They are very very good. If your brakes are spongy you may need to bleed them of any air.

try lrb pads, will make a major difference,1 800 400 9490,he has them for our ztl brakes.

I've got EBC's (HH) at the moment (second set of pads) and either I need to bleed the brakes or they just aren't as good as the stock pads. I'll try Ferodo next. Also, they make that buzz noise but quite a bit louder than the stock pads. Especially when hot.

check the KV for the method of brake bleeding that Henrik offered. It made HUGE improvements on my front brake.

EBC appears spongy because it's slightly thinner than the stock - so there's about a hair line free play. Try bleeding after you install it to compensate for the extra space.
